Editorial Statement
This
special issue of Journal of Portuguese Linguistics reflects our goal to broaden
the Journal’s scope to comprise both Portuguese and all the other Iberian
languages, and focus on thematic issues which may act as a platform for
discussion of the topic(s) addressed, either from a comparative cross-linguistic
perspective or facilitating a cross-language comparison. The editorial team is
grateful to Jose Ignacio Hualde for embracing this new project and guest editing
the first issue that fulfils these goals.
